Realizzato dal Dipartimento Italiano di Industrial Design di Alberto Del Biondi, questa innivativa bici si articola tra stile, materiali e soluzione tecniche d’avanguardia.

Il nuovo design minimale si sposa con l’essenzialità della bici da città, le linee sono semplici ma dinamiche, e il carbonio le rende sinuose e leggere.

Già visto applicato alle auto è la prima volta che vedo il sistema di motorizzazione perimetrale applicato a una bici, e subito si intravedono gli immediati vantaggi sia in termine di peso che di efficenza.

“Plus Bike” with Front and Back Light from Dovetusai

A bike with lights in both ends is perfectly unique for me. Haven’t seen one yet. Maybe a bike with a light in front and a light on the back part of it is already available in the market way-way back before. However, with this new design from Fabio Bortolanu and Emmano Righi from Dovetusai, which is a bike that has a simple frame however the lights in both ends made it unique and functional. The design is perfectly trendy even though brake wires are not visible. I just wish that it has a brake in it because if not, this is not safe for use.

The Aeroblade from Koga-Miyata is so beautiful, it deserves to be mounted on a wall and admired as art rather than sat on by a mere mortal. Produced as a partnership between Koga and Spyker, a small Dutch sports car manufacturer, this limited edition (only 50 will be made) bike features a hand-built titanium frame, sandblasted decals, a 14 speed internal gear hub, hand-built carbon fiber wheels, hydraulic disc brakes, Hulshof Leather grips, saddle and saddlebag, hand-built carbon fiber wheel fairings.

Green and mean Rabbit Concept Electric Bike

When it comes to bicycles, I really don’t understand why developers these days have this incessant need to add an electric engine to the otherwise fully-functional human-powered vehicle! But you know what, we really don’t mind these flights of designer fancies simply for the reason that they dream of a greener tomorrow. Joining the ranks of some very out-there futuristic concepts is the very funky Rabbit Concept Bike created by Brazilian designer Felipe Tolomei.

Even though it’s a W.I.P. (Work in progress), the comfortable and dynamic bicycle looks promising with two small electric engines on each rear wheel and a battery on the center “ball”.

The progressive design looks like it could really be realistically production-worthy once it’s finished and once Felipe decides to give the third wheel its due and call this thing a trike!

How to make your bike thief-proof

Looks like Sir Clive Sinclair’s foldable A-Bike really inspired a lot of people out there to go compact. And taking the great inventor’s initiative one step further, designer Maciej Ojrzanowski decided to come up with a clever way to carry all of your bike add-ons with you safely and out of thieves’ reach. With all of your bike’s lighting, indicators and mudguards packed into a handy bag pack, the multi-purpose bike device lets you carry your bike valuables with you whenever you’re forced to leave your bike in a public parking space so that the thieves find nothing worth siphoning off on your ride. The bag is all quite handy as a, well, bag, and can carry your wallet, cellphone, and even food and clothes, which combined with the included toolbox and map holder, makes it a traveler’s best friend!

PakNgo - Pack and go bicycle pannier

Ideal engineering is where comfort comes with versatility. Here is an example to demonstrate that stroke of perfection. Designed by Miss Hayoung Lee from University of Technology, Sydney, this bicycle pannier serves multiple utility function. It is often seen that even when one cares enough for nature the idea of riding a cycle becomes cumbersome when one has to carry load. To fight this problem here is one heaven of an idea for a bicycle pannier. This PakNgo pannier is stable and sturdy enough to hold your belongings when you ride a cycle with utmost safety. One can face the problem of not wanting to carry delicate items while cycling but the rigid form (polycarbonate) fixes the load more securely to the rack and protects their laptop, while multiple mounting points increase stability and security.

It is waterproof hence proving that it is weather resistant and it can be clipped right next to the wheel as spring mechanism is added to hold the rack firmly. While not riding a bike the pannier can be converted into a stroller or a simple sling-across-your-chest bag. The designs and colors so provided are catchy and aesthetically pleasing. Go green and travel using cycles whenever feasible and now there are more reasons than one to do that, namely PakNgo!
